V642 – TUMBA
The V642 – Tumba is a pergola and conservatory awning that can be applied both on a veranda and on posts such as a pergola. The Tumba has a unity in design because the posts and the side guides have the same size and therefore appearance. The joints between the posts and the side guides and the ratio between the overall size of the structure and the dimensions of the posts and side guides were studied to minimize the visual impact of any connection parts. The retractable tensile structure provides an efficient protection against both sun and rain.

Of course, the V642 – Tumba offers a number of important UPS’s in both design and use:
1. A patented locking mechanism.
2. Installation using a continuous wall profile.
3. A drainage system through the side guides.
4. A sun-resistant, water-repellent and weather-resistant 100% high-tec polyester fabric.
5. Tested up to wind resistance class three at specific sizes.
Patented locking mechanism
The conservatory awning is equipped with a patented locking mechanism which ensures that the front bar is “locked”. The revolutionary four sides variable tension system of the fabric allows a smooth movement of the fabric. In a fully open position, an extreme tensioning is achieved by automatically locking the front bar and applying, with the same motor that moves the system, a tremendous force on the fabric. The result: a fabric that not only looks perfect, without any wrinkles or waves, but also performs at its best.
Continuous wall profile
The V642 – Tumba is installed using a fully continuous wall profile to ensure a waterproof closing between the cassette and the wall. In addition, it offers possibilities in installation because the profile can be attached to the wall at various locations. The cassette has a very neat design for a structure that can cover up to 25 square meter. A middle bar can placed based on user preference and hosts a powerful and dimmable light source.
Drainage system and fabric
The V642 – Tumba is equipped with a sun-resistant, water-repellent and weather-resistant 100% high-tec polyester fabric with a side guide zipper. Of course, drainage has also been thought of. The fabric does not make so called “water pockets”, even at a low inclination of the structure. The side guides participate in a superior drainage management that allows water to move through the posts even if the structure is not fully open. We guarantee the drainage of rain up to 50 litres per square meter per hour from a roof slope of eight degrees. By limiting the roof slope to eight degrees, due to the patented locking mechanism, it is possible to create a spacious walk-through height in every desired projection of the conservatory awning.
Wind resistance
The Tumba has been tested up to wind resistance class three at the maximum sizes of 5000 millimetre wide and 5000 millimetre projection.
